Institute of Technology, Inc has just over 1,100 enrolled students and provides flexible weekend classes for students who work. The school offers over 18 programs, with the most popular including Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, and Refrigeration Technology, and Allied Health and Pharmacy Tech. Institute of Technology, Inc. could cost $14,000 or more for tuition, depending on the program.
San Joaquin Valley College has just over 300 enrolled students and offers distance learning. The most popular fields of study include Respiratory Care Therapy and Medical Assistant. The total cost of on-campus attendance is approximately $13,000.
ICDC is the largest of the three technical colleges, with just under 3,000 enrolled students. The school is also highly flexible; the school offers online courses, so students can learn 24/7, and some programs do not require that a high school diploma. The most popular program is Medical Assistant, by a large margin.
If location isn’t an issue, figuring out which college to go to can be difficult, as each school has its advantages and disadvantages. For example, San Joaquin Valley College in Rancho Cordova is much smaller in size, meaning that students will most likely receive better hands-on assistance, but the funding might not be equivalent to that at ICDC, which is a larger institution.
Choosing a college to go to, however, is never a decision you should rush into. If you’re interested in going back to school and getting a fast-track degree, even if you’re picking from one of the best technical schools, you should review each choice carefully.
